My mom said I could get my nose pierced, but I said I rather get my belly button done?

Why will she let me get my nose pierced (if i wanted it, which i don't) but won't let me get my belly button pierced?

i'm 13 and was surprised she said i could get my nose done.

BTW, which hurts worse?

well.. i used to have my nose pierced, it hurt a little it made my eyes tear a little but that was it. when i got my belly buttoon, it hurt like h**l for weeks. soo it really depends, also i had a lot of people coming in my studio asking the same questions and it really changes from person to person.

Maybe she thinks that the nose is a better piercing then the belly I know people who think that the belly piercing is "trashy" but I don't think that it is...

I got my belly button pierced when I was 13.

I liked it for about a year and decided it was silly, so I took it out.  The folks at the tattoo parlor assured me that it would grow up if I took it out no matter how long it had been in...

...I'm 22 now and I still have a big hole in my belly button! EEW!

The pain range is different depending on your tolerance level.  I nearly passed out from pain, but my sister, who also has her belly button pierced, said it was just a little uncomfortable.

Getting your nose pierced seems like it would be easier to care for, it's more in style now than belly button piercing and the hole is smaller.  You also wont have to worry about the scar stretching out if you ever decide to have babies! ( I saw a picture of a woman with a belly button ring hole that stretched to the size of a quarter and stayed that way after she gave birth...yikes!)

I would research piercing on websites like www.BMEzine.com

They have a community like site where people with all types of piercings talk about their experiences.  It might give you a better idea of what you are in for!

Probably because she thinks navel rings are "trashy". And navel rings definately hurt more between the two.
