My mom said i can maybe get my nose pierced! How can i convince her to let me? ?

well, you can take it out immediately and it'll probably close, but if you've kept the piercing in for as little as six months, it may have healed so completely that the hole might never close. my friend has a piercing that closed even after she had it in for a year. so it depends mostly on your body, i guess. make sure you think about it.

i don't think a nose piercing is bad at all -- it's been a tradition since ancient times, and a small stud can almost be unnoticeable when it comes to work and stuff when you're older. at the same time, though, you have to remember that a piercing is a /wound/, and a nose piercing is a wound on your face. you have to be able to commit to taking good care of it for several months after you receive the piercing.

do NOT do the piercing by yourself. honestly, if your mom already says maybe, then why p**s her off by doing something to yourself that will probably get infected? get it done the right way. any good piercer will give you the exact steps you need to take for it to heal, and there's much less of a chance of infection.

as for how you can convince your mom.... well, i stuck a little rhinestone thing on my nose where i wanted my stud to be. i wore it all the time when i was around her, and i kept telling her how much i like it and how i already found a nice and sterile piercing place and everything. i told her that i want a nose piercing but i want it done right, and i want it done at an established place instead of just doing it myself, and that's why i was asking for her permission.

she eventually got used to it and was happy that i made such a big deal about respecting the fact that she should give me permission, and in a matter of one week we were down at the piercing/tattoo place. turns out, my mom liked the place so much she's going there next month to get a tat. :]

just say to her that if she lets you get it done u will do more things to help her like tidy up and help with the shopping and promise that u will, she might give in ...

JUST DO IT BY UR SELF I DID MINES BY MI SELF WHEN I WAS  14 ;)

AND IT NEVER GOT INFECTED BUT IT HURTS  A LIL BIT.

AND IF U JUST WANTED TO SHOW IT ON SCHOOL THEN JUST PUT IT WHEN U GO TO SCHOOL AND YOUR PARENTS WILL NOT EVEN NOTICE ABOUT IT GOOD LUCK '=)
