okay this is what you do.

Use a gnome statue as bate and lure the gnome to it, then catch it and interragate it for moving your statue. If it dosen't listen paralyze it and use it as the statue.

Go to the gnomes' house and move their people statues.  Let 'em see how it feels when the shoe is on the other foot.

Either that, or wait for them at night and kick 'em where the sun don't shine.  That works for just about everything...gnomes, leprechans, aliens, sasquatches, in-laws, etc.

Don't stand naked outside and do anything. Just put it back. And if the gnomes come alive in the moonlight like someone said it is best to get rid of them. Nothing good can come from a statue turning alive.

I have news for you, the gnome statues are the gnomes.  They come to life in the moonlight, They are no danger to you.  You don't need protection from them, they are just elementals, earth to be exact. They help to protect the garden and your home.  Just know this, you will not see them move unless they want you to.  You can talk to them when you go out in the day, they can hear you and it will help them get use to you.
