  1. I guess you need a bit of capital to own and maintain a race horse, however, anyone can go to the races and check out the Neddys for free.

I don't know where in the world you live but here in Australia there are plenty of places you can go for horse trail rides that are fairly inexpensive and give the novice rider some valuable experience.

  2. You can take lessons no matter what.  You should try to find a riding stable near your home that might be willing to let you work in the barn to pay for all or part of you lesson cost.  If you can't find a place that would let you work it off, lessons still aren't that bad.  You will probably pay between $20-$40 an hour.  Group lessons are always cheaper than private lessons.  Also, see if you could find a college student that is giving lessons.  Students that ride horses or are in programs related to horses sometimes give lessons to make some extra money.  For those, you might only pay $15 an hour.  Just look around, and see what you can find.  Good luck!

  3. Lessons aren't that expensive in comparison to the cost of owning and caring for a horse. Most stables charge between $20-$50 for an hour lesson (it varies depending on where you live and how upscale the barn is.) You don't need to own a horse to take riding lessons, most trainers will have a string of horses that are suitable for different levels of riders.

  4. Well bye -bye train

Race horses are so much different then ridding  lessons..

Hey,, why not go  to PETS ,,THEN CLICK ON HORSES,, ON YAHOO , I think they would really would like to have you there,,

    Good luck BYE -BYE

  5. Your mom is incorrect (sorry), the other girls in my lessons aren't rich, but, they aren't poor either.  Horseback riding is for ANYONE that wants to ride.  You do not need to own a horse to take lessons.  I bet you can find a nice schooling stable near your house.  I ride at a stable that has 80 great school horses.  I pay $200 for 10 lessons, but these are group lessons (with about 5 people including myself).  It really depends on where you want to ride though...some places are extremely overpriced, but others are not and you get the same schooling....go figure...

    Best of Luck!
