My mom threatens to beat me and calls me a b* and she slaps me and is always yelling is it abuse?

she says she wants respect and that she is the mother so i should respect her but i cant when she is always yelling and screaming i cry almost every day i use to cut myself and sometimes still do and i cant talk to her about anything i have 2 friends one i never see because i am grounded for something and the other is 2 years younger i am not trying to rebel and i am not bad i lose my anger but i wouldnt have so much if she didn't yell she has called me a bitc* an effin brat and an ungrateful snot

It is time to call upon the other adults in your life to find help.  Really.  Maybe some aunt and unlce?  Or your neighbor.   Or the church you go to (if you go. . . or if you do not, pastors will help anywyay).

Get someone to help you sweetie pie.  This is certainly ABUSE.  No doubt about it.

When she sobers up, tell her what she did to you, and you do not want to tolerate that any further. Tell her that she either stop drinking, or you're moving with someone else that is more responsible. Whatever excuses she could find in the book to justify what she did, do not give in to it. If this happens again, move in with another relative, or call the child protective agencies. Good luck, and stay strong.
