My mom used sulfamethoxazole and is having side effects, help??

Question

my mom has been prescribed the drug for a urinary infection, and now she is vomiting, has muscle stiffness, dryness of the mouth, blood in her urine, and chest pains causing her hardness in breathing. She does not have medical insurance and cannot afford the high prices of the ER but if it gets any worse we may have to take her.. is there anything i can do to help her for now?? are these symtoms/side effect presistent?? help me please. thanks so much.

At least call the ER and ask them what to do

also mom can take whole cranberry supplements,(not juice)   not expensive

Stop taking the medicine ASAP and tell her doctor everything you just said, she might be allergic to something in the drug, usually trouble breathing means an allergy.  

There are many different drugs to treat UTIs, some even over the counter,  again, make her stop taking the drug, immediately.

She is def. having side effects from the drugs. Hopefully she has stopped taking them. She needs to drink plenty of fluids. It sounds like she is having an allergic reaction and she needs to seek medical attention.

ER immediately, sounds like she's allergic to sulfa medications. i rather pay whatever i have to to not lose my mother
