Question:

My mom wants me to loose weight ?? what should i do?

i hate that now that i am very fat she wants me to loose weight i also always wanted to loose weight but i couldn't because of her. she'd always gave me food from outside she never took the time to show me how to cook my own meal or cook me meals that I'd like. so all this time ive been eating McDonald sometimes and most time Chinese food like she'd buy me chicken wings and mc nugets to eat with some rice sometimes most she'd buy me a whole Chinese meal. i am bout 5'8 and weigh in about 240 to 250 pounds. shed recently acted concern and wants me to get in a diet so i did until today when she got me mad because i was in a diet and she bought me a chicken sandwich from McDonalds to eat and she said to me to eat it and if not just to eat the chicken and take off the buns i got really mad and did me i went back to my regular eating habits which are bad. i even call my sister very angry and told her what my mom had done and she talked to my mom on the phone and my switched it up she said it was for her and that really got me mad. my mom makes me mad because she doesn't understand me at all she just want to do things her way i hate that i even tell her this and she totally take me as a joke and ignores me that makes me even more mad i don't know what to do any more. she bought me these pills called MetaboTeens i don't know what are these went to the website sounds pretty good haven't taken them because i don't know how. if you want to give me advice on exercise i got a gym membership last year a 2 year and haven't gone since a long time a go i don't play sports because i suck at all of them and am embarrassed to play them and my friends don't live anywhere near me so its not like i could any ways.

  3. Honey, you need to talk with your school nurse or counselor. You've been put in a really hard position, and it really isn't fair.

    Hopefully a counselor will tell your mother that you need a nutritionist or dietitian to make out a schedule of food for you. you need help with cooking them, or maybe you get on a program like Jenny Craig, but something cheaper.  And you need help with the exercise. I can tell you that walking is the best exercise.  Start gradually and work up to a brisk walk of at least 30 minutes or way more. If you could just cut out sugar and white flour, fried foods, and fast food, and soda pop you'd be on your way.

    It's been asked so many times, maybe you can figure this out on your own.  But please, tell a counselor everything you told us.

  4. Well first thing first, eat the right foods. If you eat a balanced diet, plenty of fruits and vegetables and less on the fatty and oily fats. Just by doing this will trim the pounds off. Plus you don't nessessarily HAVE to loose weight, you should just keep your body as healthy as possible. Then once you eat well for a  month to get your body used to it, no cheating please, try an active excersicing plan. And even if you can't nessessarily go to the gym-go ride a bike, take a jog on the beach, go shopping in the mall for a few hours and only use the stairs...in a few months you will shed the pounds and it will help you maintain a healthy weight. Like I said, you don't need to be in this image of 'skinny'-just be healthy, maintain confidence, and be proud of your body. Go shopping and get some clothes that fit your body well and have you look amazing and doing the shopping for a few hours, with going up and down the stairs and walking around different stores, you can get your excersise for the day. But remember that may lose you about 200-300 calories so don't head for the brownie to reward youself because that can be a whopping 700-800 calories; and the more you excersie the more you realize you don't need that extra cookie because it takes a lot more energy to try and burn those calories off.   5. I suggest that you start off easy. Do an activity you like that get's you active. It's best if you use a combination of weight-training and cardio. The more muscle you have the EASIER it is to lose the fat.

    Eat 4-6 smaller meals throughout the day rather than 3 large meals. Get plenty of protein and slowly limit the calories. I suggest no less than 1500 calories a day.

    These are the best weight-training exercises:

    Shoulders: Military Press, Hang Clean and Press, Arnold Press

    Arms: Close-Grip Chin-Up (w/palms facing toward your face), Dips, Close-Grip Pushup, Twisting Dumbbell Curl

    Legs: Barbell Squat, Deadlift, Lunges

    Back: Chin-Up, Pull-Down, Deadlift, Row

    Chest: Push-Up, Dips, Bench Press

    Do this for no more than 45-60min on Monday Wednesday and Friday.

    For cardio I suggest that you do no more than 30-45 min per session. Do this on Tuesday and Thursday.

  6. stop eating the fast food, your mom sounds ignorant and naive to tell you to lose weight, and then buy you a chicken burgar rather than a salad from MCD's, you must be very unactive to gain weight like that too, start excercising everyday, it will just become a daily routine.
