So i am 12 and he is 16. We want to go muddin in his jeep with some of our friends but she doesn't trust him. He is really dependable and has never been in a wreck or anything. She trusted him before we started dating but now she doesn't. She won't even let us drive like 3 miles from my house to his house to study algebra and history! I don't know why she is being so weird about it! We've only kissed on the lips three times in the four monthes we have been dating. But we do tell each other that we love you on every ocassion that come along. we won't do anything and I have told her that but she soesn't let me go out with him. He is only aloud to come over here. she loves him but doesn't trust him. Why?

  1. You are too young, and he could get in trouble.

    Listen to your Mother.

  2. why?  BECAUSE HE IS WAY TOO OLD FOR  YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. Cause he's 3 years older than you!!! You shouldn't be dating at 13. At least wait till your 14/15, at the minimum. Even then, you don't' date someone that much older than you. As a teen that's a wide difference, maybe not as an adult though. Plus normal 16 year olds don't seriously want to date a 13 year old. It's either they're really desperate or they're gonna use and recycle.

    Seriously!

  4. your 13 years old if you were my child i would have concerns too. she is beinng a loving mom trying to protect you. don't give her a hard time you will have plenty of time for boyfriends and stuff slow down enjoy being 13 and a kid there will be plenty of time to be an adult and trust me when your an adult you wish you could be a kid again. good luck and best wishes

  5. For starters, he's 16, meaning he just recently got his license. Depending on the state you live in, it's probably quite illegal for him to have more than one other non-family member under the age of 21 in the vehicle with him.

Furthermore, he's 16 and you're 12. Should he decide to take advantage of the situation, that, if I'm not mistaken, would be a felony. 4 years makes a world of difference in that age range.
