My mom won't let me go to the mall or movies with my friends

She said that too many "weirdos" hang out there. What she doesn't get is that I know most of those kids from school. And yea sure they dress weird and have weird hairstyles and blah blah blah, but they're harmless. ( I tell her this, but I'm convinced that she ignores me.) And it's not like I want to go by myself, but I want to go with a group of friends. The only way she will let me go is if she goes with me and I am so sick of her treating me like I'm 5. I am almost 15 years old.

So any ideas of how I can get her to let me go to the mall or movies with my friends?

Begin acting maturely so that your mother can trust you when you go out alone. She has your best interests at heart.

Wow, I feel sorry for you....

My friend and I are going to the mall right now and we are like only 12ish....

Here are some steps:

Find some really good friends that your parents know very well, then ask her and tell her she should trust you and you are mature enough to go to the mall + Movies w/ ur friends.

Make sure she knows the parents of ur friends so that your mom will feel a little more comfortable. Remember, your mom is only doing this cuz she cares about you very much but tell her she is a little too over protective. Tell her you'll be fine and have your cell with you at all times and tell her you will be fine.
