  1. Just because you put a question mark after a sentence, it doesn't make the sentence a question.

  2. How to Convince Your Parents to Get You a Hamster

    How could they resist?

    How could they resist?

Hamsters make nice pets. They are little, cute and fun to play with. Place hamster toys in their cage, and sit back and watch them play. They are also easy to care for, although it is important to remember, that their cage has to be cleaned, and papers on the floor of the cage be replaced.

Show your parents that you are responsible. Who feeds/ walks/ takes out the dog? Maybe you could start doing more with the dog to show your parents that you can be responsible with pets. Just keep asking them. Maybe make a deal. If you get good grades then you get hamsters... or if you do chores around the house... you'll get hamsters. Talk to your parents and think of other ways to get the hamsters without begging.

Tell them that having hamsters would teach you responsibility for when you get older. Also you can tell them that you are sure to take good care for them and make sure everything is alright.

You can also tell them that they look very cute and that they are soft. And would be adorable to have hamsters in your family.

Also, I would show them that you have responsibility by doing chores around the house, cleaning your room, ect. You should also ask them if they need help with anything.

The FIRST thing you need to do is RESEARCH and learn about hamsters. For instance, you seem to want more than one hamster, but do you realize that most hamsters don't get along well as adults and may even kill each other unless you keep them in separate cages?? The first time they fight and the blood starts to fly, not only would it be a sad happening for you, but it would also totally convince your folks that hamsters were a BAD idea, and you won't get a second chance! So you need to be sure you really know a lot about the animal before you try to convince them to say yes to it.

The NEXT thing you should do is to find out exactly what the animal needs (cage, toys, wood chews, etc.) and start saving your OWN money to buy it, or find ways to earn money for it. This is the NUMBER ONE thing that will help convince parents that you are ready to be responsible: that you want it enough to put out your own effort and be patient for as long as it takes to save that much money. Because if you're not willing to do that, then maybe you don't really want a hamster as much as you thought you did.

    Steps

       1. Research hamsters. Are you sure you want one? They live up to four years! And they are nocturnal, so they can only be kept in your room if you sleep heavily. They also are sensitive to light, heat, and many other things such as pets and small children. If you have cats that will try to eat it, think twice. Same goes for younger siblings that might squish them by mistake. They can't be kept in direct sunlight or in drafty areas. They need a pretty stable temperature. They also need to be handled every day to stay friendly and to have their cage cleaned every other day to stay healthy.

       2. Ask your parents nicely if you would be able to get a hamster. If they say no, tell them you have looked up hamsters and pet stores/shelters/breeders around the area. (If your parents say yes, to have a hamster you would need a wheel without bars [solid surface so they don't get stuck], cage bedding, hamster food, a cage, a hamster, and a cage water bottle)

       3. Be persistent without being annoying. If they say maybe, you may be lucky! Show them pictures of hamsters and give them details of your research of hamsters. Get them interested in the process and you may be able to change their minds.

       4. Be patient. After a few weeks (or days), they might say yes. If not, ask for the reason. There are lots of reasons for and against getting a pet. If you know why they refused, you can either make peace with the decision, or plan how to convince them in the future.

       5. Plan financially for your hamster's care. Showing your parents the plan can help convince them you are responsible enough for a pet! On the other hand, it may convince you that you can find a cheaper hobby.

       6. If your parents are worried about financial costs, convince them that you will do chores or the like to help pay for the hamster.

    Tips

        * Be sure to take care of your hamster and clean out its cage so your parents will see they made the right decision.

        * Make sure that your parents want it too. If your mother or father is allergic to hamsters, it's not the best choice, and you should try something else.

        * A major selling point of hamsters is that they aren't smelly like ferrets are.

        * Hamsters are living things! Make sure you get it across that you do not just want a pet, but a companion that you will treat with kindness and respect.

    Warnings

        * Even after following these steps it is possible that your parents will not allow you to get a hamster.

        * If you cry they might think you are not ready for having a pet.

        * Better not ask them when they are busy, frustrated or sleepy. They might not know what they are saying and they might answer NO immeditely

  3. if u cant get a hamster get a guinea pig!!!! there just like a giant hamster!!!

or get a rat they can bond with u

or if its the size u want get a pet mouse

  4. hmmm, just say itll be in your room, youll pay for it all, and shell never have to see it. just remember hamsters are nocturnal and dont come out till dark

  5. Don't get a hamster, they make horrible pets. As soon as the "newness" of having a hamster wears off you will regret that you have a little ball of fur that sh**s all over its cage and your hands and stays up all night running on a squeaky hamster wheel and sleeps all day, biting you if you wake it up. Cleaning their cage completely sucks, and there aren't any positives really about having a hamster after you get tired of playing with it. Trust me, they are gross. And they are very stupid. The only redeaming quality is if you get tired of them you can drop them outside and say they "ran away" pretty convincingly.

  6. same thing with me exept my mom never had any when she was younger you should do some research and print it out and show her everything you learned about them and tell her that you play with it and clean itt and feed it everyday and talk about it non-stop but if your mom says ELIZABETH I DONT WANT TO HEAR ANYTHING ELSE ABOUT THAT HAMSTER!! then just do work to your self quitly and shell start to notice how ,much you want one you should even take a price range on everything you want like hamster cage toys food etc and figure out the cost of all that wich should come to around 50-60$ but if she is buying it try to find some sales and say mom i found a sale that if you buy a starter cage witch comes with food and shavings thqt if you bbuy that you get a normal hamster free (thats what i did and thewre really was that sale) so my mom finally said yes and i got it (i paid) it should be as simple as that...

  7. Tell her you will only get one and you will keep them somewhere like your room so she won't have to see them.

  8. Unfortunately, its her house, so her rules.  But if you tell her you only want one, so no chance of babies, that might help.

It is probably a bit unfair for her to punish you for something that happened out of your control.  It isn’t your fault that she didn’t know to remove the male from the cage when the babies came.

  9. well, if you only get one hamster, it cant have babies. but hamsters smell and dont live long, i would suggest a guinea pig. theyre more fun.

  10. Tell your Mom that you will clean play with it and feed it. That is what i normally do and it works most of the time.
