  1. a simple bald spot isnt too much, most pets have them, u need only to concern if it starts to expand, if so, go urself and ask them if they would check for free, some vets, or animal rescue centers dont charge just for looking.

  2. I had a hamster once that randomly went COMPLETELY bald. Lived three years.

  3. Your hamster is fine. Vets cannot really do anything for animals that small. If i dies you should be able to take him/her back for a week or so and get another one.

  4. ^v^ aka Obama Biden Laden 08!, that was pretty mean. y did you say tht? she is worried about her pet.

  5. heheh my hammie had a bald spot too. i'm sure its fine, especially if it seems to be eating well and doing normally.

    dont worry! whats its name?

  6. I guess you shouldn't own any pets till you are able to afford the vet on your own. Call animal control on your mom, report her for animal neglect. .

  7. Hamsters don't die of bald spots on their noses.

    Usually.

  8. Does your hamster bite the bars of his cage? If so, that is why.

  9. that's normal if it was living with other hamsters cause they attack each other's faces. Unless bald spots appear in the body i wouldn't worry. but if they do start to appear around the body, it's more than likely cancer.

and don't return him just because of a small spot on his nose... that's ridiculous

  10. Well, I had a hamster 2 years ago,

And, that bald spot could have been from anything.

That could have happened because he chews the metal bars

and if that's the case, just play with him more,

But, it could be something serious,

Just to be safe, I would go to the vet,

but Vets are expensive, so if your mom says, no

just ask people who've had other hamsters.

  11. He'll be fine.. You could probably always take him back to the pet store and get a different one.

It would be completely ridiculous to spend a lot of money for something like that.

  12. try to surf the web on what could possibly be wrong. Then, wait it out & ask her again. Tell her you're very concern about the hamster.

  13. Make sure his cage is clean at all times. He might just have a little infection or got in a fight with another hamster. Just give it a little bit of time. Your mom is right, it's expensive to bring animals to the vet, so cut her some slack and just give it a little while. Clean water, good food.

try carrots, celery, spinach, greens or anything

    baby him for a bit

  14. It will be fine. Geez.

The hair will grow back in like a week and to take it to the vet for such a small reason would be a total waste of money. Your mother is right.
