My moms 2002 ford focus car is acting funny

i am a beggining auto student and my mom is complaining that when she drives the car randomly jumps especially when going up hills. my friends uncle owns an auto repair shop so i have a lot of tools available. what might be the cause of this??

fuel filter allowing air to enter motor and also  transmission fluid and filter needs changing

i dont have an answer more like ideas you might check the ignition and the timing my truck does the same thing and i know the timing is high and you might also check the fuel system those are my ideas

sounds like the transmission fluid and filter needs changing. or it also could be the gas filter.

check the carboretter filter that it isnt blocked  check timeing of trhe vechacle rev it maby are bubbles threw out the enguine when it needs lots of power to get up a hill it uses more fuel and if it can only get bits and pieces it will jump cause its not getting soild fuel flow it just getting fuel then air bubbles fuel then airbubblesetc
