My moms 50th birthday party?

Anyone have some good ideas for my moms surprise birthday party I am throwing her. It is going to be outside at my house in September. Anyone know any fun games I can play or any other good ideas are welcome! I plan to dress up as the grim reaper when she first gets there! I know it is mean but it will be funny! Thank you in advance.

If your mom has a good sence of humor you go decorate everything in black.    You can go to a party store and they have great things that are for a 50th party .  It all saids 50 on it also.  Maybe you could go with a theme of something that  your moms really likes, but hasn't been around in along time.  Like music that she liked as a child. Friends she hasn't seen in a long time.

Play music from her teenage era. Have rootbeer floats, Wear bell bottoms and tie died decorations.

My favorite thing for birthdays or anniversary's is to make a DVD slide show of her life and family. that would be a great gift!

If you have a camcorder have it going during her party.  Watch it at the end of the party then gift it to her.  She will cherish this for eternity.
