Ok I don't know much about rabies and that kinda stuff, but my moms dog has never had shots before, but I was trying to feed it a chip, and her teeth got on my hand. I don't have a bite mark, or a puncture, the point is that I felt her teeth and her nasty spit when I fed her that chip, should I be worried? And I only want serious answers only!

  1. if it didn't break the skin then you are fine.  But it is important for the dog to get annual shots including rabies.  It only takes one encounter with a wild animal, opossum, raccoon etc and a bite to give the dog rabies.  remember rabies is not created, but rather the animal has to have the disease.  Once an animal gets it, it is most likely too late.

Your mom needs to be a better pet parent, simply owning a dog does not warrant a good owner.  Vaccinations, and yearly check ups will help the dog live a better quality of life.

  2. you need to see the doctor

your moms dog needs to see the vet

  3. This time?  No - not if it didn't break the skin.  However, most places require a rabies vaccination BY LAW - and there is a reason for that, you know.

  4. get your mom to go to the vets and get her dog vaccinated.

you, don't feed the dog table food anymore.

and no, it won't hurt you if it didn't break your skin.

  5. How old is the dog?  Did she just get it?  I wouldn't worry about the bite if it didn't break the skin.  But I would definitely be worried that the dog hasn't had any shots.  Get that dog to a vet!

  6. If the dog did not break skin then you should be fine.  On the other hand, your mother needs to know that this dog better have at least a rabies shot.  It is the law.

  7. Her spit alone probably won't harm you.

I agree with the others, though.  Get poochie some shots if she hasn't had them yet.

  8. No.  Not if it didn't break the skin.

  9. yes
