My monitor flashes during game play?

Question

While playing World In Conflict, my Video Card "flashes" or blinks every few seconds.. eventually, i start seeing these really long lines coming from the map and extending for forever. What is wrong with my video card and what can i do to fix it?

Intel Core 2 (2.13 GHz) 6420

2G RAM

256MB Radeon X1950 Pro

try reinstalling the drivers and check direct x i think 9 a is the way to go
