Question:

My mother changed over night.?

ok I'm 17 i passed my driver theory test and my mom was all 'yeay you! i'm so proud etc etc..' she was on board for me getting my permit.

So i go for my eye exam (meaning i've to go for my licence within a month) and i ask her about getting the form and she freaks out saying that i shouldn't have done that already and we should have talked about it (but we did). if i don't go for it now there's no point in me going for it until next year as i'm going away and won't have my full licence by then. can any mother explain this to me? why she went from positive to psycho in a week?

its cause you are growing up and she will miss having you asher little girl who she takes everywhere. even though she may have moaned about you wanting to go everywhere all the time, in the long run, she actually likes spending the time with you. you are her daughter after all.

if you say ' mum, do you wanna go to ______ later ? i can drive ! ' she will probably see you driving as a good thing if you take her out with you say... once a month ?

its not much to ask really.

She is probably freaking out about something else that is going on and just taking it out on you. Give it a day or two and then sit down with her and talk about it. Hopefully whatever the other issue is, if there is one, will be over by then.

it might be her time of the month,tell her that ye had already talked about it and ask her why is she acting that way and that you dont like it.im sure she'll understand.
