  1. Your grandfather may have been the only son but his father and grandfather and great grandfather probably had brothers with the last name Jasso - and they probably had sons.  So the Jasso name carries on.

  2. It's a pretty common name amongst Mexicans in the Midwest.. So his line might have stopped there, but the name does live on. If you know the town where he was born, you could contact the local parish and ask for information about his familiy from the sacramental registers. They would be able to tell you if his father had brothers and if those brothers had sons. Then you could try tracking down your cousins.

  3. Not necessarily true.  Your grandfather might have been the only son of HIS parents.  That does not prove that his father had no brothers who had family.  Is a fact that he only had daughters?

Normally, if you are tracing your ancestry, the common way is to work backwards.  This includes your grandfther's father, and grandfather, etc.. and any of those may have had other sons.

You might be correct that your grandfather has no DIRECT descendents, who carry the name forward.  That does not mean there are no relatives of your grandfather with family.

I don't know what your question is..
