My mother gets a pain in the back of her leg and the doctor can't explain it? please help

She says its like someone takes a hot piece of metal and pokes her in the back of her leg. One minute she's fine and the other she's screaming out in pain. I'm worried because she got it when we were driving and we almost got in a accident. Please help!

If a medical doctor can't help, perhaps a chiropractor may be able to.  It sounds like maybe a pinched nerve in her back may be causing this. Best of luck to her.
