  2. Mormon Enigma: Emma Hale Smith, they sell it at target for like $20

  3. "Mormon Enigma" is the best biography available on Emma Smith hands down. But that book does bring up polygamy, naturally, and some subjects may be troubling for a believing member--although the women who cowrote the book were members.

    If she's looking for something more "fluff," I've noticed LDS relatives lately reading a series of books called "Joseph and Emma: A Love Story." It's a romanticized retelling of their relationship, but I can't in good conscience recommend it. Srsly, that's some kind of messed up love story if you ask me.
