My mother is extremely loud when she chews. How do I tell her?

This is a very sensitive issue as my mother loves crunchy foods but and she is very sensitive to criticism. I love my mom very much but I can't stand to be in the same room as her when she's eating. HELP!

Make a joke of it. Like 'woah there Mum, the neighbours can hear your munching!' and laugh. Do this a few times and she'll get the message.
