  1. This will depend on if she has any credit up to this point in time. She does have income coming in and that is helpful. Just make sure you look for a card with low interest rates and not a bunch of additional sign on fees. A credit card can be useful in times of emergencies and as long as you don't abuse it can be beneficial to your credit. I always refer to this site because you can find a card that will work for everyone's needs. You can browse card offers by companies, rewards, good credit, bad credit or no credit. Shop and compare and apply all in one site. The best thing to do is to just look at the offers and see if any are fitting to her situation. Good Luck!

  2. She could try for a VISA, MC or Discover.

They might have low limits, but it's worth a try.

  3. if she has good credit she can get any type of card.. Just fill out the applications

  4. All you can know about credit cards from this site. It gives you some reliable, safe and highly useful links.

It will help you a lot as it helped me.

  5. If she can save money, or if you want to give her money, I suggest this:

Instead of a credit card, buy a $5 picture frame from WalMart.

Put ten $100 bills in it.

Put a little sign in the frame that says "In case of Emergency, Break Glass.

Hide it in the back of the closet, or in the matress.

  6. Nearly any.  Social security and pensions are better than a job.  Credit card companies now that jobs get lost all the time.  They also know that social security and pensions usually continue until she dies.
