My mother owns land in another state... Can I get in-state tuition at a school in that state?

  1. If you can show proof of residence. If your phone bill and taxes have been going to another address, you're asking for trouble


  2. Just owning land is no good, unless you intend to pitch a tent on it.

  3. No.  You have to have established what they call a "domicile" there.  Owning land (unless you have a tent as one person suggested - lol) doesn't help you.

  4. No. Unless you have actually lived there (for a certain period of time) and can prove it. Most schools will ask where you have lived and for how long. I wouldn't suggest lying.
