My mother read my diary and now hates me?

She read my diary and read that I thought she was embarassing to me. Ever since then, she's been so mean to me. I can't even talk to her without her shouting at me. My sister told me she read it, and she was there, but should I confront my mother about reading my diary? Or should I just let it pass and ignore when she is shouting?

Confront her even though she's your mother she doesn't have the right to be going through your stuff and reading your diary.

why would you write that in your diary?  Why is she embarrassing to you?  You need to apologize to your mother for saying that about her.
