well first off, im not spoiled

my mom has an injury and im the one who has to clean (dishes, laundry, vacuum, etc everyday)

so she says she will not be buying me any new school clothes this year

usually she spends about 100-150 on school clothes

but I dont even want that much

i told her just like 2 new pairs of jeans, 2 new t shirts, and a sweater, she still says its too much

she says I have enough clothing and dont need any new articles

but its just weird for her to get nothing at all

how can I convince her to at least get me something

  1. just explain to your mom that you do most of the cleaning and you feel that you really deserve some money for your hard work. tell her you understand its hard for her with her injury and allbut you dont want to be the only one at school with NOTHING new.

sound very understanding and DONT fight with her answer

  2. After reading that your mom does have the money, i think shes being kinda mean now,

Is she so injured that she cant get out of bed?

Maybe you should ask your mom for money and have friend take you to that mall

    Hope i helped

    10 points please

  3. MAYBE SHE CAN'T AFFORD IT. OR BARGAIN WITH OR RESEARCH THE BEST AND CHEAPEST PRICES TO WHERE YOU CAN GET YOUR STUFF.

WALMART GRAPHIC TEES- 5 TO 7 DOLLARS EACH

    A.J. WRIGHT,WALMART, TARGET JEANS 12.99- 20.00 DOLLARS EACH

    SWEATERS ANYWHERE- 10-30 DOLLARS

  4. Why don't you just ask your mom for some money for 1 pair of jeans, 1 new t-shirt and 1 new sweater and go with your friends...

If you can't afford it right now, wait until you can!

  5. i say out with the old and in with the new. if you have some old clothes try to sell it and make the money off it for new clothes. or just try talking to her, explain how you feel. don't whine, that never helps, but explain that you just want a reasonable budget.also point out that you aren't being spoil because you have been helping out.

  6. Thats sad...i have a friend like that..her mom had a work injury and gets all kinds of money in the mail and they are filthy rich....

I think you deserve something...your working really hard.....

Try asking your mom if you can at least get a pair of jeans and a shirt or something......

Hope things work out for you...

  7. she honestly probably cant afford it. im sure she feels bad about it but i when you arent working things can get hard finacialy

even if your mom was a dr. and there is money in the savings she is still out of work and she has to make sure that things are going to get paid for. this month she might have alot of money but what about next month and the month after that

  8. Truthfully I think you work hard and you know that it deserves something in return. My advice is to just tell her tht you work hard and you deserve a new pair of jeans.

    good luck (:

  9. If your mom is injured, is she not working (or working less)?  Maybe she can't afford to buy clothes.

  10. your mom is injured and probably out of work and all you care about is new clothes

    you are incredibly selfish

your mom  is probably broke and cant afford new clothes

she has to pay bills to keep a roof over your ungrateful head and food on the table

    you have clothes wear them

savings only last when theres income going in she used to be a doctor which means she can no longer work and has to live on that savings account. that means  that savings account is going down every month to pay bills buy groceries and what not shes broke no income coming in and loads going out use your head

  11. Maybe what you should do is go through what you have now, pull out stuff that doesn't fit you or that you don't wear. Then, instead of asking your mom to go shopping, ask if she can take you down to the local Goodwill to donate these old clothes. These will not only show your mother that you care, but that you want to help and that you're responsible.

If she still feels like she doesn't want to buy you new clothes, then stop talking about it. But, maybe in a couple of months, start looking for ads for sales and say something like "Hey mom, look at these sales! Do you think we'd be able to run by and pick something up?" and if she says no, then maybe you should offer something like that maybe you'll pay for part of it. Parents like it when you're responsible. And if you don't have a job, then babysit or find some way to make some money. Because if she thinks that's too much money for her to spend, then ask if she could just give you a ride over and go with you so you can have her opinion, and tell her that you'll pay for it.

Trust me, there's a way to work things out. You just have to be more flexible.

  12. You say your not spoiled....But you also say you feel weird not getting something you just kicked yourself in the butt by saying that, you are a tad bit spoiled your mom is sick i guess and its totally understandable that she doesn't think you need clothes! You have enough to cover your back so let them be and maybe after school starts you can ask her for the thing you need the most.

  13. Just explain to her mom lets make a deal or something do some extra stuff around the house and ask her mom maybe if i do this can i get a thing maybe a week or something like that. If she is being stubborn maybe call another realitiveor do something for someone elses and buy your own or a small partime job. Hope you get some clothees if not go to a thrift store..

  14. Hi! You should try to get a babysitting job and go shopping with your money with your friends. I get $20 a week and $135 everytime I get all A's on my report card. I also get $1000 from my grandma for school clothes and about $400 from my parents for them, too!
