Question:

My motorcycle stops on increasing acceleration?

i am able to kick start , but as i try to accelerate (even very little), it's engine fluctuates and stops.

i have enough Mobil oil in engine

and i have already changed my spark plug with a new one,

but the problem is still the same

i have Bajaj pulsar 150cc.

please help to start my sick motorcycle

  1. while starting the bike turn the choke ON and let it idle for 2-3 minutes. Then slowly shut the choke and accelerate the bike and rev it up hard till 6000 rpm for 30 seconds.

    Then your bike is normal.

    Remember to start your bike with choke ON every morning and let it idle for 2 minutes before you start riding it. You would never face the problem.

    Remember problem is with the carberurator. Either there was too much petrol or water has seeped into it. Get it checked from a good mechanic.


  2. Check all your vacuum lines and make sure there are no leaks and that the rings that attach all the hoses are tight.  I had a scooter that did this and one of the rings was loose so it was keeping a good vacuum.

  3. is it the DTS-i or DTS-Fi

    if its the carbed version then you might need the engine to warm up a little before you start riding it anywhere, or the carbs themselves might need adjusting.
