I had ride my motorcycle to work, and after work my bike wont start anymore. When I turn the key on nothing happens, none of the lights turn on. And my co worker help me jumped my bike with a small jump start kit type of deal.

This morning I took out the battery and brought it to a motor shop, and they said the battery is find. I put it back in my bike, and I can started again. Few hours later, when I tried to start my bike this happened. The light went on for few second and it went completely dead. Is it the wire problem? If so what can I do? Or should I bring it into a bike shop?

  1. just clean the battery prongs and wires with a wire brush or sand paper. sound like your not getting a good connection

  2. first off what kind bike is it? and i dont think its a solenoid, if that was the case you would have power it just wouldnt start. it sounds like  your main breaker could be going out

  3. I had a similar problem that was caused by a loose  positive cable.  Since you have had the battery out and reinstalled, perhaps you just have corrosion somewhere.

Clean the ends of your cables and the terminals at the battery, where the negative cable bolts to your engine and at the solenoid.  Try to start with a fully charged battery.

If it won't start, jump the solenoid.  It you can jump the solenoid and start it then you may have a bad starter button switch.

  4. you might have a loose wire or the cilinoide might be dead. you should check all wires and espesally the battery wires and make sure thar is no carotion on any of the conections. Good luck
