Hey there. My mouse, Pepper, has been itching a bit and red skin between her ears.

I looked it up on The Fun Mouse (website), and I'm not sure.

"Itching is only a problem if there is hair loss, redness of the skin, open wounds, or parasites." Hair loss? Redness?

"It is your job to give your mouse another habit to take his or her mind off the itching. Try giving your mouse lots of distractions. Things that often work best are those that the mouse can climb, chew, and shred."

So all I need to is to distract her?

Here are some [blurry] pictures of her.

Help, please? What do I do?

  1. i have a female mouse that looks just like yours. i also noticed she has a little balding spot by her ears. maybe it is a parasite. or you can try to distract her but that wouldnt last long. so if you can go to the vet and see wat the problem is. sorry i cant tell you much more.

  2. Wow, that's gone way beyond behavioral itching. She could have ringworm. The wound she's made could get infected and kill her. You really need to get her to a vet and get antibiotics. If its ringworm it could spread to you. DO NOT listen to the stupid fun mouse page and just give her toys, this is a bad wound and is not because she is bored. The Fun Mousery is a breeder who is not reputable to begin with. She does not care for her mice properly at all.

  3. Take her to a vet
