My mouse has a mind of its own???

My mouse is from the brand Logitech its wireless and it will go wherever it wants. Like if i want to go to the upper right hand conner it will go the left lower hand. then say there are two options next to each other i want the one on the left it will go all the way to the bottom of the screen. its all random and it is getting very annoying. How can i fix it?

control panel, mouse, under pointer options, mine is in the middle or under hardware, maybe try updating the driver

Try changing the batteries. Also, if it is optical, make sure you're using it on a non-reflective surface.
