My mouth fell to the ground ??

do u know what is the meaning of this phrase "my mouth fell to the ground " ?? or this phrase don't exist in this world??

its an exagreratiojn your mouth didnt literally fall to the ground you are just saying i was really shocked what sioounds better i was shocked when i saw the dog or when i saw the dog my mouth fell on the floor?

"my mouth fell to the ground "  SIMPLY MEANS THAT U WERE SHOCKED, AMAZED, COULDN'T BELIEVE IT.

EXAMPLE: when she told me she married someone who had just got out of prison "my mouth fell to the ground "  !!!

I would think that is just means that someone is saying "Their mouth opened wide," they were gazing in awe or shock at something that amazed them. Whether it be a good thing or bad.

It's the same as "my jaw dropped".  It just means that you were surprised by something.

From what it sounds like it would mean the same as "My jaw dropped"....Which basically just means you're completely shocked that you don't know how to react.

Thats what my interpretation of it is.
