  1. the first time i had my tongue Periced, i took a 800mg motrin that helps get the swelling down and a cup of ice to to chew/suck on to help numb up the pain, and i was okay if i was hungry i would have soup, mashed potatoes, cream of wheat, and oat meal, but the motrin and the ice never left my side, took a motrin before i when to sleep that is usually all the swelling happens, and take one when you get up with that cup of ice, it will be ok, just keep monitoring it, watch out for thrush, and keloids on your tounge i had gotten one and called the place the told me what to use to get rid of it and it worked sorry i dont remember the name but you can call them,i am sure everything is okay keep the ice and motrin

  2. I'd get it checked out.

You shouldnt be in this much pain after a tongue piercing.

  3. The first time I had my tongue pierced, the same thing happened to me.  After 6 weeks of the constant pain,I took the piercing out and let it heal.  About a year later, I went somewhere else to get it re-done and told them what had happened.  They looked at the scar on my tongue and told me that it had been pierced too far back the first time so it couldn't heal.  They re-pierced it about 1/4" closer to the front of my tongue and it healed completely within a couple of days.

Try anti inflammatory painkiller for the pain, and you should probably take the piercing out and let your tongue heal.  How long have you had the piercing for?  It usually takes a couples days to a week to heal.

  4. You might

    1)  Have an infection, or

    2)  Have pierced or injured a nerve.

    GET LOOKED AT.

  5. Maybe it's infected?
