My mozilla firefox browser will not connect to my wireless interenet connection. Help!?

I recently downloaded firefox because internet explorer is acting weird. I tried to log onto my yahoo, and it tried connecting to people pc, when I only have a wireless connection. I really want to switch browsers, and I have looked at the network connections. I just can't figure out what to do.

I had a problem like this the other day and my anti-virus was blocking Firefox. (It was blocking port 80) So I told it not to block it and now it works fine.
