My mum changed her mind on getting a corn snake. NEED HELP!?

i was go in to get a corn snake from the pet shop for £100 with full set up [tank etc] i was gonna buy it.... then my mates Friend told my mum all about that disease you can catch from snakes.. whats the percent of getting it? so now my mum is making me pay for the snakes food etc, what should i do??? HELP HELP PLEASE.

It's unlikely that a snake will pass on any zoological diseases to you. The only thing I'd be worried about is paying so much for a possibly ill corn snake. Make sure you trust this store or breeder 100%.
