My mum some how managed to spill washing up liquid on my cat! what do i use to clean it off??

it was like washing machine liquid...

and i think she wud run a mile when we took her any wer near a bath of water :-S

Put the cat in the bathtub with water and rinse like crazy. Hold on tight and make sure you have on leather gloves and maybe even a leather coat if your cat is not declawed.

Water. Don't use running water, take a bucket of water and wash her with your wet hand or a cloth. But wash her well, so that she doesn't l**k it off.

If you can't get her near a bath then wipe her down with a soaking wet washcloth. This preferably while someone holds her. She probably won't freak out too much with this because it feels like she's getting petted. Or take her to a groomer.

You need to get it off her fur immediately.  It can cause a skin rash since cats skin is more sensitive than ours. Partially wrap your cat in a thick towel and  rinse off the fluid with clear water in the sink or tub a little at a time doing the front part and working your way around the body.  Wear a thick shirt, and protect yourself by using towels to cover her claws.  If you do not want to do this, then wrap up the cat in a towel so it can't l**k itself, and take it to a groomer.

Use a cloth soaked in warm water if you can't get her into a shower/bath.  If you can shower her, put a towel in the bottom of the bath or shower to stop her slipping around.

Unfortunately you don't have much choice your cat needs to be rinsed with water, water and more water. If not she will l**k it off herself which could potentially make her very ill. Be prepared to get right in the tub to keep her there if necessary to rinse her off. Having a large bucket  (full of luke warm water) ready that can be poured by a second person might be easier than running the tap? Good luck.

All you can do is bath your cat and after trying to wash my cat - I place my finger on the side of my nose and yell, "NOT IT!"
