My musician friend wants to go to Brazil and make music for living any tip ?

My very good friend 'a great Tabla player' (Indian percussion) wants to go to Brazil and do something with his music over there for living, any body has any tip for him ?

Does he have a degree if not he should get one in Music so he can be a teacher specializing in Music. By getting a degree he will have stabilized income for himself.

Like someone also mentioned Latin Jazz is nice. I would just tell your friend to network like crazy through Myspace and Facebook. Build a reputation for himself through performing at local restaurants/clubs.

If your friend is going to Brazil to be a musician, tell him to consider going into Latin Jazz.  It's really nice music (e.g. - Bossa N' Marley).
