My mystery snails have a lot of slimy stuff. What is it?

I noticed it after I had them in my tank for about 3 weeks. At this point they are the only things in the tank. It actually looks like a huge blob of slime in the general area of where the p**p comes from. Any ideas??

It would be egg laying. Take the eggs out. Most of the eggs will rot. The eggs are really slimy.

apple snails (mystery snails) are not supposed to have slime

this does not sound normal

I would say 99% sure its laying eggs. Mine does all the time. Remove the eggs if you don't want anymore snails.
