  1. Of course there's going to be a problem. If I don't understand what you're asking, theyre going to look at that as suspicious. Don't play games with them. It's not their job to tolerate you. They want straightforward answers, not jibberish. You won't get a passport and that would be a waste of $100.


  2. What you use is immaterial. If your name appears as Maria in the NSO, just use the same when you apply for a passport so as to be consistent. Some won't understand the Ma. is also Maria.

  3. You have to take that one of nso. Considering if you have to apply for a visa and that is a must in nearly every country you want to go as a Pinay  they will check your birth certificate as well and here we go: If there is a difference between the name in the birth certificate and your passport you won't get a visum. Since these papers will be checked by a computer you can be sure that this machine doesn't bother at all if Ma. is short for Maria.
