  1. I think it is something like Farah.  That's what my friend said.  She told me to check out this website.  I couldn't find it even on the website.

  2. why?

  3. Sarah is commonly translated into Irish as Sorcha, which means light or brightness. It is pronounced sor-a-ha.

Sarsh means princess and if you were intent on keeping the true meaning of your name you could try these. Flaith means princess but this isn't a name in Irish.

Órlaith is an Irish name which means golden princess and comes from the ancient Irish spelling of Órfhlaith. Pronounced orla

You could also call yourself Donnfhlaith, which is a really ancient Irish name that is hardly used any more, meaning brown haired princess. pronounces dunla

If your hair is blond you could call yourself Foinnfhlaith, which is also hardly ever used. meaning fair haired princess. pronounced Fin-la.

If your hair is black i would go for Donnfhlaith as it is pretty much the same meaning. and for a red head i would go for Foinnflhaith.

I prefer Orlaith. It is old and traditional but still modern. It also suits all hair colours and reinforces the royalty aspect to the name.

  4. It's Morag.

My brothers name is Euhlan (pronounced U-Lan).  It is gaelic for John.  What a small world.....good question!

  5. Proper names do not always translate to other languages.

Sarah is the Hebrew word for princess.

The closest I can find to that for Gaelic is "Flaith", which can also mean queen or prince - royalty, just not specified.

  6. Sorcha is Sarah in Irish Gaelic

  7. Morag

  8. hey it means A princess

    hun

    my cousin is called sarah

  9. In Irish, Sorcha is the name that's used to translate Sarah.  But it's only because they are similar sounding names - they are not actually direct translations of each other.  The "ch" is soft, like in the word "loch".

Note:  if it's Irish you're talking about, then Sorcha is the name you want.  Morag is a Scottish name.

  10. Mrs. Dash
