  1. dont like it,sry..

congratulations and good luck with baby! [=

  2. I don't know, I think the child would get teased for that.

    How about Arianna?

  3. well now...thats kinda cheesy. but i like it a lot! or you could do Josiah. that would be nice too!

  4. It's ok.

  5. I don't really like it.  What about Josiah?  It's similar, but not as off the wall sounding.

  6. Personally, I think it sounds more like a girls name. And a terrible girls name at best.

If you really wanna go old testament, why not name him Jacob or David?

  7. They are both great cuz they came out of the bible VERY VERY VERY VERY UNQUE

  8. Sorry, I don't like it at all.

  9. If you like, go for it.  It isn't my favorite, but it isn't my baby.  I've never heard of it.  Where is it in the Bible? Personally I don't like to have rhyming names in the same family.  I have a friend and her name rhymes with her mother's and her daughter's names.  It drives me nuts and I'm constantly calling them by the wrong name.

  10. I kind of like it, but ya know people will make a lot of jokes about you naming the baby after yourself. Just prepare yourself for that.

  11. thats really cute!

    best of luck to you!!

  12. I've never heard of "Yariah" being in the Bible.

    I prefer Uriah.

But, they both sound like the word "Urea" to me, which makes me think of Urine.

  13. its certainly unique....what if its a girl?

  14. Sounds more like a girls name

    Pretty , and feminine

    xx

  15. It is adorable.

    Good purpose behind the name

  16. Its not bad. Why don't you use your name for her middle name.

  17. I don't like it, sorry

  18. I wasn't able to find the name Yariah on any of the reliable baby name websites or on BibleGateway.com.  There is a man in the Bible name Uriah, which I imagine would be pronounced the same way.  Uriah was a faithful soldier in King David's army; David committed adultery with Uriah's wife, Bathsheba.  While I like the sound of Uriah, it reminds me a bit too much of urea, one of the compounds in urine.

If you want to name your son after you, I like the masculine name Marius.  It is derived from Mars, the Roman god of war, but it's also used as a male variant of Maria, according to behindthename.com.

You may want to consider using Marius as a middle name and giving your son his own distinct first name.

There are a ton of male biblical names that end in -iah.  Just to name a few:

    Jeremiah

    Josiah

    Hezekiah

    Nehemiah

    Zechariah/Zachariah

    Micaiah (my-KAY-uh)

    Isaiah

    Tobiah

Any of those would be options as well.  I particularly like Zachariah and Josiah.

Best wishes, and I hope this helps!

  19. I like it, it's cute, I can picture a teenager being called that name and it sounding good too.  If you are having second thoughts, Zachariah rhymes and is also from the bible.

  20. I like it and I sort of don't like it. It's way to unoriginal and off. I like it because it is very unique and different. Some names are good to be different because they are very unique and friends won't mix you up with other friends. Emily and Jessica and those type of names are names of LOT'S of people and I mean Lot's!!!!!!

So yeah, if you really want to! It's your choice actually.

  21. If you both agree on it then I would say go for Yariah if it's a boy. Plus it's out of the Bible, it has history. Personally I don't like it but you two agree on it and that's the good thing! Please don't try to go too creative on the names. Your kids will hate you in the future and end up with some regular nickname anyway or even change their names legally.

  22. what about mark. it is close and also out of the bible

  23. Yariah.... very unique!!!    Not so sure if i do like it or not... how about Jhair... has more of a twist to it!!!   =P   Good luck to u and the baby!

  24. i think it is neat and original, plus meaningful since it is like yours and out of the Bible.

    CONGRATULATIONS!

p.s. just remember that your chid will grow up always having to tell people how to pronounce his name, but that is a small sacrifice for a handsome name!

  25. it is fine. If you like it then go for it.

  26. Give the boy a name that will serve him well when he reaches adulthood.  Don't name him based on your own ego.

  27. reminds me of the name Uriah, kinda ugly

  28. it is? i didn't know that. but i love it. it is a very good idea. where'd you find a genious like him;)

    hope your baby is healthy
