My nanday conure is laying eggs?

i gave her stuff for nesting but she is pulling out feathers on her belly and under her wings can someone tell me why?

  1. It is called a brood patch, some birds will do this when they nest so that their body heat will incubate the eggs. It is normal and they will grow back. Some birds do this and some don't. I breed pacific parrotlet mutations.


  2. Quakers do the same thing to cover their nest box with too. Good luck with her.
