Question:

My naturally curly hair...?

Howdy! I was just wondering what I should do with my hair, like style-wise.

It's naturally curly, extremely curly. I've never cut it in my entire life.

Here's a pic: http://i244.photobucket.com/albums/gg21/ChocolatiHeart/pink%20erased/Photo8-2-1.jpg

(not the best pic ever, but oh well)

What do you think of it? Should I wear it down more? It's really big. I'm not one of those girls who hates her hair, I just don't know what to do with it. I usually wear it in a ponytail or bun.

It's really soft, frizzy depending on the weather, and I wash & condition it every day. I don't straighten it very much because it damages it. Sometimes I use mousse, gel gives me dandruff. I usually go without any product (in the pic I used John Freida mousse).

Any ideas? Any products/style tips for curly hair you could reccommend? Thank you so much!

  1. If your going to wear your hair down, try to get some volume on top. Because you have so much hair, it's heavy and weighs down on your face. Put some product in and flip your head up side down and do a light blow dry on the roots to try and get it bigger on top, so it looks more even.

If you don't mind cutting it a little, i would do so and just ask that they put a couple layers in, that's all and that should help with styling as well.

    Gorgeous curls by the way!

  2. Your hair is gorgeous!

Consider layering it.  Since you are low maintenence, I think layers will work well for you.  You'll be able to keep your length and basically wash and go.

As far as styling tips, I go for alcohol free styling products (mostly gels) and try to keep heat styling to a minimum.  I don't comb or brush, I use my fingers and scrunch.

  3. OH GOSH your hair is GORGEOUS!!! It is such a pretty color and texture, You should wear it down more often. I don't know much about white peoples hair, but you could use a flat iron with a temp gauge on it, that way you control the amount of heat on it. Also if you are going to use a flat iron by some silkening creme or a product to protect you hair form the heat of the flat iron.

  4. wow, your hair is amazing haha! well i would just recommend the usually conditioner/gloss serum/ frizz serum stuff so it wont go frizzy. a japanese straightening perm might help because i don't think it damages it that bad. i think it looks cute all down and big like that, and there's this really long brand-its like Schwarzkopf's or something and they make a great leave-in conditioner, and this stuff called Moroccan oil is great, you can get it at a beauty supply place or at a salon. its amazing. hope this helps!
