My naval piercing is infected what do I do?

I got my belly button pierced once before and I got an infection after a month and took it out. Now I have my belly button pierced for the second time and it has been fine until a couple of weeks ago. I have had it pierced for almost six months now. I want to keep my belly button pierced but I need to get rid of the infection and it only seems to be getting worse. Someone once told me to use this medicated liquid iodine or something. I need help! How do I get rid of the infection?

When mine got infected the nurse at my doctors office told me to use lavender oil. Another thing that I used was neosporin . Make sure you dont let your pants rub your naval and always wash your naval with mild soap and water.
