My neighboor is a registered s*x offender. How can I find out what he did?

I'm 6 1/2 months pregnant and my husband works late, so I'm home alone often. We just moved into this house and I happened to do a search and found out my extremely nice neighbor was charged with criminal sexual conduct in the 4th degree (force/coercion). I know there are extenuating circumstances that can cause someone to have to register- so how do I find out if this man is a possible threat to my family?

thats not good at all.

if you havent yet, look at your state s*x offender registry.

it would be hard to tell if he would be a threat.

i suggest you try searching his full name on internet, if you happen to know his name. There should be news about him.

Criminal records are a matter of public record, so you can get that information on line.  Since you already know it's 4th degree and coercion then there are no extenuating circumstances to that. Basically, he sexually battered somebody.  Since you can't move out, my suggestion would be that you get a gun and a burglar alarm.  Oh, by the way, if you get a gun, be prepared to use it with deadly force or you'll end up the victim. Remember, sexual predators always appear to be nice until they catch you, that is when they show their true colors.

In your case, 4th degree is less serious. I am guessing the force/coercion part was because the person was underage.

Also keep in mind the vast majority of sexual predators establish a relationship with their victims. There is only a very small percentage that prey on strangers, so the odds are in your favor.
