My neighbor leaves non-stamped notes in my mailbox?

i hate her and i just want to know if it is illegal to have a way to shut her up! haha

It is illegal.  Technically, when you put up a mailbox, it is federal property.  Under federal law, it may only be used for U.S. mail.  Your neighbor could be fined.  But if this were reported to the post office, they'd probably just notify her to stop.

Tell your mailperson that if there are unstamped letters, DO NOT take them.

You then take them out and return them to your neighbor.

You could tell her that it is a federal offense to mess with your mail or your mail box. Only a licensed mail carrier is allowe to put anything in you box.

To the best of my knowledge the mailbox is to be used by the mailman. I have heard it is illegal for others to put mail in it. Why not check with your local post office to be sure.
