My neighborhood kids always have a fundrasier that raises over $500. They also just send the money .......?

to an organization like Feed the Children or they sponsor a child. Yes, it's nice but they really want to give items this year. Any ideas what to buy and where to send it? Links to websites are great!

Cash is always more useful.  Many charities have no place to store donated goods.  The cost to store and transport is extremely high
