My neighbors have turned my rental property into a drug trafficing spot which is affecting my space.?

I am asking for a month to month instead of the year lease I signed can I request that. I have complained since the 2nd week of my move in date with no resolution. I am unclear of my rights.

  1. Call the local District Attorney , The local Police / Sheriff's Office, and /or the DEA .....

    It might take a month or so ; But the trafficking will cease ....

    NOTE: You can make these calls anonymously by using a pay phone ....


  2. You can get out of the lease for unsafe conditions. First you need to file a formal police report and complaint. Take that to HUD office with a copy of your lease. They will probably refer you to an attny. The attny will probably just write a strong letter to the landlord to release you of the lease due to the circumstances. Be patient it will not happen over night but do the police complaint immediately!!

  3. If they are trafficing drugs, call the police.

  4. if you signed a 1 yr lease - you are bound to the 1 yr lease.

    all you can do is report it to the police - its their job to deal with drug dealers.

  6. Well, does your landlord own the other rental? Are you in apartments or a house? Call the police if you dont like it, it is not up to the landlord who your neighbors are.
