My neighbors wifi?

my neighbors have wifi i connect to it but the signal is low and i sometimes loses connection how can i maintain the connection and make it stronger? i have no internet or router

Go over to their place and become friendly with them.  Offer to do chores around their place.  

Tell them how cool their computer system is and that you heard that they could download better if they boosted the signal.

See if they have milk & cookies before you go home.

If you don't have their permission stop using it, if they really wanted to they could press charges.

Assuming they have granted you permission, ask them if they can try repositioning their router's antenna or will let you purchase and install a wireless repeater in their house, on the wall closest to your house.  Then if that's not enough, install another repeater in your house on the wall closest to their house as possible.

There  is no guarantee for stable connections when using someone else's wifi connection....  In order to have good wifi connection you have to be within a certain range from the actual connection...  Maybe you are just a little too far away, or maybe there is something interfering with the connection...  Another possibility is that there could be more computers/connections to the wifi at times....  Wifi is shared...  The more connections, the lower the signal will be....

If your neighbors are ok with your using their network, see if they'd let you buy and install a range booster in their place.

try moving your laptop around the house - sit outside the backyard if need be, different points around the house will have different strengh.... you may also find things such as microwaves and phones will interferr with the signal strength

Your neighbours can buy a booster which will make the signal stronger however I don't believe they know that you have logged on to their network so good luck

when buying an external wifi antenna make sure you look at the specs.. the higher the dB number the better the signal.
