My nephew can't pee. He's crying because it hurts. What should we do?

We have him soaking in a warm bath right now. I feel bad watching him cry.

Oh, I'm so sorry for the poor boy. He's in my prayers. I really think the doctor is the best solution. I understand that he's not your child, it's the parents' decision, and he's had a lot of surgery, but it sounds like surgery is the only option. Good luck with everything!!!

Sounds like a urinary tract infection to me. tell his mom to give him cranberry juice and take him to the doctor. I'm sure if he goes to school like that and they don't Child Services will step in. He should not be going thruogh this. Poor baby.

Make sure to call the Dr first thing in the morning or take him to the ER tonight.  Most likely it is a UTI which can cause pain while trying to pee and makes it hard to pee.  If his p***s is swollen it could be a yeast infection as well.

My nephew, as a matter of fact, had the same problem and had to have surgery because his"pee hole" was not big enough and as he grew it got smaller, too small for the amount of urine had to let go of.

If he needs surgery, he needs surgery.  It's abusive to deny a child necessary medical treatment.

Try not to pressure him. Take his mind off of peeing maybe do some breathing exercises with him, I wouldn't recommend drinking lots of liquids if he already has to pee it could be dangerous. He needs to be relaxed or distracted. Try and get him to do something sing a song do a dance play with a toy something to distract him. If this doesn't work take him to the emergency room.

if hes young but not to young he might have stuck something up in the hole and it got stuck blocking it off
