Ok, my nephew is 17 months and drinks a lot of milk, and doesn't eat much food. He was here yesterday for about 3 hours, and in that period he had 24 oz of milk! I couldn't believe it, I know that my brother and his girlfriend are not feeding him enough of other foods. My question is how can I talk to them about this feeding him more food? My mother has even told me they are too lazy to give him food..

  1. This might sound weird but I would call the Doctor and have them give you some information about proper feeding for Toddlers that age, and give that to your brother. Because the fact that Milk is high in fat which is good for their developing brains but if its done it excess that it can actually cause them to have to much fat in their diet which can affect them later on in life. Plus there are more and more hormones in milk these days that can actually have an affect on your child's behavior, I know that when my daughter has too much milk she is way more emotional and just hard to deal with. But your brother and sister in law may not take advice from you because of not having kids (I do not know if you do or not just assuming here) and not listen to you, so if you have something from a doctor's office than maybe they will listen. I am sorry that you have to be the one to tell them that, but no one is perfect. Good Luck!
