don't know how he did it but everything is sideways

If your on vista

Right click on desktop>Personalize>Display settings>Advanced settings>Geoforce (Tab / Or W.e Your Graphics Card Is)>Start the controll pannel>Display>Change display config>Restore deafaults (On the top to the right of the title of page)

Hahahaha!

Right click on the desktop and there should be an option in the menu that says Nvidia Control Panel or ATI Radeon something. If it doesn't have a card seperate from the motherboard you should be able to get to the settings from the control panel.

right click an empty space of the desktop and go to graphics options> rotation> normal/0° thats what it does on my laptop
