  1. Give the babe some tylenol. Check his temp again in half an hour. If it still not going down then cool him down by letting him walk around in his diaper. He could be getting some of his last teeth in, and those ones really hurt.

  2. Give him tylenol... look at the measurements. It should keep it down. Do it every three hours.

But, you should always ask a peditrician.

  3. My son is 19 months and the same thing just happened to him 2 weeks ago. He was running a high fever but had no other symptoms. The fever lasted for 3 days, and keep coming back. I took him in to the emergency room and turn out it was an ear infection.  If you can not get him to take medicine the doctor said to put him in a cool bath, it will bring the fever out of his body.

  4. Have you tried giving him tylenol? If it doesn't go down with in about an hour of giving it then I would call his parents and let them know. Actually I would call his parents anyways to find out how much you should give him.

  5. i agree with zomb... little ones can actually handle very high temps that adults can't handle. as the others said, try baby tylenol, motrin, whatever, just no aspirin!!! and keep him on a schedule... don't skip just because it seems like the temp is down. strip him down to the bare essentials and let him eat all the popsicles he wants. try to push the fluids, and sneak a little pedialite in each glass. so long as it doesn't go over 3 days or so, and you can keep breaking it (although it will rebound in between doses) he should be fine.

if tho it goes HIGHER after doing all this, bring him in!

  6. Ibuprofen every 6 hours.  Children get high temps.  Don't worry unless it last more than a couple of days.

  7. emergency room - he may have meningitis

    no joke

  8. Cold cloth on the head. Maybe the 2 year molars are coming in....

  9. Take him to the doc

  10. Same thing happen to my brother who is 23 months too! Didn't go way, so took him to clinic and he an ear infection.  Give your nephew baby tylnol or baby motrin. Tell partents. If fever last for  more than a day or if the child seems to get very fussy, then i would bring him to a doctor

  11. Take him to the Hospital.

103 is an extremely high temperature, especially for someone that young.

  12. It's called Emergency Room.

  13. Probably teething. 103 is not that bad for a toddler.

  14. My daughter had this happen not long ago and the fever wouldn't go away, sometimes even with tylenol. I took her to the ER and it ended up being pneumonia. She had it in both of her lungs and had absolutely no other symptoms, no cough, no nothing. Just a fever.  In fact even the first dr. didn't catch it, they only knew because of the x-ray. I think he needs to see a doctor, I mean the child should at least be worth that. I know I would've hated to be wrong and not went.

  15. Give him tylenol. If the fever doesn't go down within the next hour or so, call the pediatrician.
